“Buyers decide in the first 8 seconds of seeing a home if they’re interested in buying it.” - Barbara Corcoran (Shark Tank)
What is professional staging?
Home Staging is the preparation of a home to sell by a professional who specializes in this form of design and has been certified and trained on the art of home staging. A professional home stager has the resources to stage your home and can objectively view the home as a product and highlight its assets, while downplaying its flaws. Most home sellers cannot view their home objectively, and most successful Realtors do not have the time or trade resources to properly stage a home.
How much does it cost?
For as little as a few hundred dollars you can have a detailed road map of what you can do to maximize the value of your home!
The housing market is good, so why do I need to stage?
Even if your house sells quickly in a good market, it might not sell for the amount it would have sold for had it been professionally staged. Studies show that professionally staged homes sell for more than their unstaged neighbors.*

Why can't I just stage my own home?
Home sellers usually have difficulty successfully staging their own homes. Why? Our homes are like our children, and we don’t always see all of their flaws. We’ve gotten used to the way it looks, and it is difficult emotionally to change it. If you can’t view it objectively, then you are likely unable to market and package it effectively. A professional home stager can focus on the things that most influence buyers in your market and ensure that you get the most return for your investment in staging. In addition to the great advice you will get from stager, you may also be able to take advantage of the "to-the-trade" discounts for any updates you need to make.
Can't home buyers use their imagination and look past my decor or empty rooms?
Most buyers do not have the ability to visualize the potential of a home. They become distracted by what is there, and if their style is not your style, they may not be able to get past it. Additionally, buyers want a home that is move-in ready, and they don't want to think about having to do a list of projects as soon as they move in. They also overestimate how much it will cost to paint or fix anything that might be a problem. In our Consultation walk through, we will identify those "price eroding" factors of your home, so that you can do the simple fixes that maximize returns, as well as draw the eye away from any problem areas.
This is also why having a vacant home professionally staged is so important. Buyers cannot visualize size and scale so furniture helps to give them a frame of reference.
